Age of empires 2 incas
The Inca Empire functioned largely without money and without markets. Notable features of the Inca Empire included its monumental architecture, especially stonework, extensive road network reaching all corners of the empire, finely-woven textiles, use of knotted strings ( quipu) for record keeping and communication, agricultural innovations and production in a difficult environment, and the organization and management fostered or imposed on its people and their labor. Anthropologist Gordon McEwan wrote that the Incas were able to construct "one of the greatest imperial states in human history" without the use of the wheel, draft animals, knowledge of iron or steel, or even a system of writing. The Inca Empire was unique in that it lacked many of the features associated with civilization in the Old World. At its largest, the empire joined Peru, western Ecuador, western and south central Bolivia, northwest Argentina, a large portion of what is today Chile, and the southwesternmost tip of Colombia into a state comparable to the historical empires of Eurasia. The Spanish began the conquest of the Inca Empire in 1532 and its last stronghold was conquered in 1572.įrom 1438 to 1533, the Incas incorporated a large portion of western South America, centered on the Andean Mountains, using conquest and peaceful assimilation, among other methods. The Inca civilization arose from the Peruvian highlands sometime in the early 13th century. The administrative, political and military center of the empire was in the city of Cusco. The Wise Prince: One of the reasons why Pachacuti is so revered and respected. The Inca Empire, also known as Incan Empire and the Inka Empire, and at the time known as the Realm of the Four Parts, was the largest empire in pre-Columbian America.Pet the Dog: After conquering the Chanca, Pachacuti treats them with respect and hires them into his army.Once the cisterns are conquered, their force will slowly dwindle. Logical Weakness: Chan Chan is a powerful desert city, but requires control of the Cisterns to survive. The Hero Dies: For a change, it happens after the last scenario, after doing everything he could for his empire and leaving a worthy successor behind.
Dirty Coward: Decoy Protagonist Virochana is seemingly the hero, only for him to escape the capital at the first signs of a serious opposition along the way, taking his favourite son Urqu with him.Call-Back: The first scenario is a revamped take on the first scenario of the Montezuma campaign.Cain and Abel: Urqu, the cowardly and spoilt prince, vs Cusi Yupanqui, the noble and wise warrior prince. An Axe to Grind: Pachacuti's weapon of choice and also symbol of authority, as seen in the campaign and the intro/outro.Arch-Enemy: Anccu Hualloc is the main threat to Cuzco and the Inca Empire for two out of five scenarios but he's the one who came the closest to conquering Cuzco. And That Little Girl Was Me: It's revealed in the final outro, in true Age of Empires fashion, that the narrator was none other than an aged Apo Mayta. If Tupac wants the Empire, he will have to earn it by conquering the Chimú. However, even Pachacuti was getting old, but before he could entrust his Empire to his son, Tupac, he decides to tests his heir: to the west, on the coast, lies the Kingdom of Chimor, and it's capital, the pyramid-ridden Chan Chan, a desert city supplied by canals of freshwater and cisterns. The Chanca were defeated and hired in Pachacuti's army, and his empire was in the Golden Age.
The soldiers are not fully convinced, but other generals remain, and Cuzco may still stand a chance. Thankfully, one man, Cusi Yupanqui, one of the princes, stood still and proclaimed his intention to defeat the Chanca. To the disbelief and indignation of many, the old king escaped the capital with his favourite son. However, a new threat looms when the warlord Anccu Hualloc of the Chanca prepares to march on Cuzco with a huge army of over 40000 soldiers. Virochana's kingdom prospered, so much that he boasted it was a blessing from the Gods. The Incas would fight to submit, starting by obtaining the sacred relic cherished by the tribes. The time of raiding and pillaging was soon to be over. All this was bound to change when Virochana Inca rose to the challenge.
However, since they didn't bother to erect garrisons or keeps, their domains didn't last long.

Long before the time of Cuzco and the Empire, the Incas were nothing more than a series of squabbling tribes trying to claim the supremacy.
